Alaska State Quarter Horse Association

Dedicated to promoting the breeding, owning, and showing of the American Quarter Horse in Alaska. In 1986, due to the efforts of some ASQHA members, AQHA changed the rules for qualifying horses for the AQHA World Show. Recognizing that collection the required points was nearly impossible in Alaska and Hawaii, the top horse in each class, shown entirely in either Alaska or Hawaii, was invited to the World Show.
